Our Facilities

We can accommodate a wide range of functions, meetings and private dining requirements and advise all potential customers to contact the hotel directly to discuss requirements and to find out more how we may flexibly assist you in arranging and hosting your event.  We are very happy to work with private individuals, corporate groups and travel parties alike but find pre-planning an essential requirement to a successful booking.

Welcome to 'Paris' - our private VIP dining area available to hire for parties of 2 to 12.


Be warned, this is a very romantic and discreet room and is ideal for a birthday or anniversary celebration, a proposal or other event.  Please contact staff for booking information on either 01227769018 or 01227 464531.  You can also find more information at http://www.demsbrasserie.co.uk

Paris has a computer screen (cleverly disguised as a mirror!) and can be hired by businesses requiring a small conference or meetings venue.

Please note that 'Paris' is located on the first floor of the building and is accessed by fairly narrow, winding stairs which may not be suitable for those with impaired mobility or who may require the use of a wheelchair or other support.

Welcome to The Theatre Room - our private dining area for up to 55 seated or more for buffet style 'standing/partially standing' functions. Located next to the bar and with waiting service provided, The Theatre Room is ideal for a range of events including corporate hire, medium sized wedding parties and other celebrations and commiserations.  The Theatre Room is particularly popular with large tour groups and we can accommodate most needs including those requiring speedy service and a quick 'in and out'.

Conferences & Meetings

We can accommodate a wide range of corporate requirements and recommend a site visit and meeting with our Managers to ascertain your exact requirements.  We have a range of projection and other IT display equipment as well as fast wifi. 


Our facilities are extremely popular and we have numerous regular bookings including Canterbury BNI, the Marlowe Theatre and various coffee morning/social groups.  As a guide, the maximum seated around a table layout is approximately 35 but greater numbers can be accommodated if just seating and limited table numbers are required.  As a approximate guide, an upper attendance maximum, just seated, would be around 60-80 but we do recommend discussing requirements with venue staff.
